identification, but also with addition skills.
**Help them practice skip counting by nickels (5's), dimes (10's), quarters

speed and accuracy!

Songs and Poems to help with money...

Tune: Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

Penny, penny easily spent
Copper brown and worth 1 cent.

Nickel, nickel, thick and fat
You're worth 5 cents, I know that!

Dime, dime, little and thin,
I remember, you're worth ten.

Quarter, quarter, big and bold,
You're worth 25 cents I'm told.

Half-a-dollar, half-a-dollar, giant size,
50 cents to buy some fries.

Dollar, dollar, green and long,
Worth 100 cents, you can't go wrong.

Coin Combinations

5 pennies make a nickel
2 nickels make a dime
2 dimes and a nickel
Make a quarter every time.

4 quarters make a dollar
and that is quite a lot.
And a dollar in my pocket
is exactly what I've got!
