Lacy Gustafson has been at Deer Creek Elementary since 2004 and has taught
since 2001. She earned a B.A. from University of Central Oklahoma and a M.S.
from Emporia State University in Kansas. Mrs. Gustafson began her formal art
training at the age of nine and continues to cultivate her learning of art.
The student artists at Deer Creek Elementary will study various periods in
history, work with different media, and explore specific styles. The goals
of the art studio include establishing a safe environment that encourages
student artists to explore the wonderful world of art, find their personal
style, have fun, and grow as artists. I expect each student artist to
cultivate his or her personal style in art and leave the art studio with a
deeper understanding and continuous respect of art. The students will learn
how to relate class knowledge to the world around them.
Vistors are always welcomed to the Deer Creek Elementary Art Gallery. The
artwork that presides in the gallery is on loan from the private collections
of the student artists.
