I have taught for fourteen years and am thrilled to bring my experience
to Deer Creek Elementary. I truly have a passion for teaching and absolutely
love my job! I previously taught in Florida before moving with my family to
Oklahoma in 2006. I have worked in several states and even in Germany.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Newberry
College in SC. I completed my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education
from The University of South Carolina.
My husband, Michael, works in Oklahoma ,Arkansas, and Texas for Square D
(Schneider Electric). We have 2 wonderful daughters, Lauren(10 and 1/2) and
Rachel(8)who attend Deer Creek Elementary as well. We bought a home in
Edmond and are enjoying "putting down roots" in such an amazing community.
Learning will be fun and challenging here. Your student will enjoy being
part
of an exciting and caring classroom. Kindergarten will provide many
opportunities to learn and grow at DCES. We will set a strong foundation for
the future and hope to instill a genuine love for learning. Thanks for your
