I am one of the resource teachers with the students from grades Kindergarten
through 5th. I graduated in December 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in
Education, specializing in severe-profound education. I am certified in the
area of severe-profound; mild-moderate; and elementary education.
I have three beautiful daughters; ages 22, 20, and 17; so we have a very
busy household. All three of them are in the marching band at their schools
(the two oldest attend OU)so I am very active in their marching competitions
and attending football games to see them perform. I also enjoy spending time
with all of my nieces and nephews. In my free time, I enjoy reading, working
in the yard and watching old movies.
I am looking forward to the school year and am very excited about the things
we are going to learn!
My mission for the class is to help my students be the best they can be. We
will be working very hard to achieve to our best potential. We will
encourage hard work and effort, even if the final results are not what we
expected, and we will keep trying until we achieve success. We will not
focus on failure, but keep our eyes on the goal. We will celebrate each
other and encourage each other along the way.
One of my favorite quotes is by Abraham Lincoln. "Whatever you are, be a
good one." I strive to help my students see that they should be the best
that they can be--whatever that might be!
