Can my child bring snacks to school?

The students are permitted to eat a snack during story time. 
Please send 
finger foods only.

How often do I need to send a water bottle?

The students are allowed to fill their water bottles each 
morning. You may 
send a new one as frequently as you wish.

How many AR points does my child need to attend the parties?

Second grade has a minimum goal of fifteen points each quarter. 
Personal 
reading goals are set according to reading level. Teacher and 
student meet 
to discuss setting a personal goal.Children can 
take AR tests on books they have read themselves, books you read 
to them or 
books you have read with them.

Will second graders be going on any field trips?

We have two field trips a year. In the fall, we visit to zoo 
following our 
Science study of animal classifications. Our second field trip is 
in the 
spring and is geared to our study of pioneers and early Oklahoma 
history.
