Hi my name is Terry Farris. This will be my second year at Deer Creek
Elementary School. I am really looking forward to a great year! I have a BS
in accounting from McNeese State University. I went back to school and took
the 60 hours required, by the state of Oklahoma, to become certified in
Elementary Education. I then began teaching in Ponca City. After being a
teacher for seven years I took the test for special education certification.
I have a mild to moderate certificate for special education. The last 5
years I have been a special education teacher. I have taught for thirteen
years.
My wife works at Compsource as an accountant and my
daughter goes to OSU. She will be a Junior in August and her goal is to
get a pre-law degree. While we are immensely proud of her; we do not take
credit for where she chose to go to college. I am an OU fan and have been
for 26 years. (We are a house divided)
I love to read, play tennis and watch tennis tournaments. We
have two dogs, Boomer Ann and Sooner Girl, and one cat, Marc Anthony. They
are in charge now that Maddie has gone to college.
I AM IMPORTANT!
