About The Teacher
My name is MaryAnne Sherman and I am so excited to be teaching A+ Expressions at Deer Creek Elementary this year! This promises to be a year of fun and learning! I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Elementary Education and a degree in Art Education. Prior to coming to the Deer Creek District, I taught first and second grade in Oklahoma City. This is my fourth year in Deer Creek. I taught second and fourth grade, but now I'm looking forward to using my art background to teach A+ Expressions. My training includes Great Expectations, A+ Plus Schools, Love and Logic, and Core Knowledge. I'm so excited about teaching your children this year and can't wait to get started! My husband, Ben, is retired from Pharmaceutical Sales. We are blessed with two wonderful daughters who have in turn blessed us with four fantastic grandchildren. Both of our daughters are educators. We also have a loving Ragdoll kitten named Sparkle. I am looking forward to an awesome year with the parents and students of Deer Creek Elementary!
