I am a 5th year teacher at Deer Creek Middle School.  This is also my 
5th year at Deer Creek; I love it here!!  I am a graduate of the 
University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Science in Education and a HUGE 
OU fan.  I also just recently completed my masters in Educational 
Administration at the University of Central Oklahoma.  

I was born in Oklahoma, but moved all over the place my entire life.  My 
husband and I currently call Edmond home.  I have two kitties named Curacao & 
Camoun and a two beautiful dogs named Cloe & Maci.  We love to cook, play 
sports, go out to eat, shop, and watch movies!   

My philosophy is that students must be able to experience a concept in order 
to understand it.  This is why I teach science in an exploratory manner 
through inquiry-based science activities. 

I love teaching and miss the kids when they leave.  They brighten up any day 
(usually =)) and always make me laugh, 8th graders especially!  I look 
forward to another great year with the kids!!!  It's going to be a good one!

Mission for this Class

Students will explore science through inquiry-based/hands-on activities to 
explore scientific concepts.  Students will work cooperatively with 
others in groups to integrate concepts with prior knowledge and increase 
students' abilities to interact socially in positive ways.   Science ROCKS!!!
