Kelly Smith:
Coach Smith cheered for an All-Star gym as well as for her school as a
competitive cheerleader and for the game squad for seven years. She also
has five years of cheer coaching experience. The ages she has coached
ranges from 4 years- 18 years old. She has coached all cheer skills and
classes like motions, jumps, formations, stunts, and tumbling. During her
five years of coaching she has coached several private classes for jumps,
motions, stunting and tumbling. She also took a care and prevention course
through McBride Clinic in summer '08. This is Coach Smith's first year to
coach the DCMS competitive cheer team and her second year to coach the
fabulous DCMS school cheerleaders!
Bess Bridges:
Coach Bridges is returning to the DCMS school cheerleaders as a coach this
year. We are so happy to have her back! Coach Bridges cheered on an all-
star team for two years and was a member of her High School team for three
years. She coached the DCMS cheerleaders during '06-'08. She has coached
all cheer skills like motions, jumps, formations, stunts, and tumbling.
Our goal is to adequately prepare the girls with the skills they will need
to move into the High School cheer or pom program with a smooth transition.
