About The Teacher
I began teaching at Deer Creek Middle School in January, 2009, and look forward to the 2011-2012 school year. I have taught Technology Applications for 18 years. My first teaching job was at Boys Ranch High School where I taught Intro to Business, Accounting, Microcomputer Applications, and Keyboarding. After three years I accepted a position in Amarillo, TX at Bonham Middle School teaching Technology Applications and two years later moved to Canyon Junior High in Canyon, TX, where I taught Technology Applications for 10 years. My husband moved to Oklahoma City in December, 2007, and after completing my contract I joined him in 2008 and begain teaching at Deer Creek Middle School in January, 2009. I graduated from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas, with a BBA - Secretarial Administration degree in 1975 and a BBA - Accounting degree in 1979. When my two boys reached elementary school I returned to West Texas State University to get my teaching certificate, and found a career which truly fulfills me. I love working with young adults and hope that I have a positive impact on their lives.

Mission
I want to instill in each of my students a curiosity for learning and a desire to excel in all areas of their lives, so that they may become productive citizens in their communities and reach their fullest potential in their personal and professional lives. My mission for my Technology class is to enable all learners to develop personal and professional technology competencies so they may be productive, successful members of society.
