This school year will begin my 20th year to teach full time at Deer
Creek. I started my career here at the middle school from 1978 to 1982
teaching math, social studies, and language arts. I quit full time teaching
in 1982 to raise my own family, but kept active by substitute teaching from
1983 to 1994 for Deer Creek, Piedmont, Bethany, and Cashion schools. In 1994
I came back to Deer Creek teaching full time in fourth grade. Eight years
ago I transfered to the middle school and have taught computer courses,
yearbook, and math. This year I will again be teaching sixth and seventh
grade math.
