Homework Q & A:

World History homework consists of a teacher-generated handout with
10 vocabulary entries. Students are asked to match the vocab word with a
definition and an application (both provided on the handout). Homework is due
at the beginning of the hour on the day after it is assigned.
WH homework averages once a week. If you would like to check on your
student's assignment, you may click the "On The Agenda" icon on the Home
Page. All assignments will be updated on the Agenda weekly.
Standard policy is that any homework not turned in when it is due
will be considered late. It may then be turned in the next time the class
meets, but only for half credit. Work turned in later than two days will be
counted as a zero. More specific information, including EXCEPTIONS to this
policy, can be found by clicking the "Grading Rubric" icon on the Home Page.
Homework may be done in-class if Mr. Lemin specifically gives the
students work time at the end of class. It may not be worked on if there is
other work to be done in class. Other teachers may also have time at the end
of their classes, and students may work on their WH homework with the
teacher's permission. Most work should be done at home - having the advantage
of parental supervision and proofreading.
All assignments are now available from the "Homework Downloads" icon
on the Home Page. (It is recommended that the homework not be done ahead of
time, due to incomplete classroom information and instruction.)
