Latin & Greek Roots, Prefices, & Suffices

Latin & Greek Roots, Prefices, and Suffices Bonus Challenge:
Students will receive a list of Latin and Greek prefices, suffices, and
roots for them to study for a 2 week period. Every other Friday (or close
to that) we will take a quiz on those. The students can bank whatever they
earn on the quiz as bonus points. These bonus points accumulate throughout
the marking period and are added in before grade reports go home as "extra
points". Since I grade on total points earned, these can be a substantial
boost in a grade. I encourage students to take the challenge seriously. I
feel learning these roots is a very valuable tool in science as well as in
language and we will draw on them in our lessons quite often.
