Hi,welcome to the Art Stop.
Art classes will be taking a field trip in October to the OKC Zoo Oct.the 8th
from 9:00am. to 2:30pm.
We will be studing annimals that are native to the state of Oklahoma
for the 7th and 8th graderes...the 6th graders will be taking a look at
tropical birds, plant life and all grades will record their day by sketching
contour and gesture drawings into a sketchbook provided by Mrs.Gull.
The students will also sketch at the zoo and the
drawings will be used in a project when we return to class. I will need
parents to attend and if interested you can sign the permission slip when I
send it home. We will leave at 9:00am. and return by 2:30pm. Students will
eat lunch at the zoo and can take money for lunch at the Rainforest Cafe or
bring lunch. $5.oo is the suggested amount. I would like to invite parents
to come and see the wonderful paintings and art works that are now up in the
cafeteria on the walls.. Also if you have time get out to the fair and see
the Junior Art Exhibit.

for...New York!...This year Iam taking a group of kids from Deer Creek to
New York City...This trip is not sponsored by our school but is an
independent trip that I will lead trough World Strides. Our departure date
is May --- and we will return on the --- of May...To find out more about

back to you...This trip will provide wonderful opportunities to see first
hand all of the arts...The deadline for signing up is November. The date of
travel to be announced.
