ABOUT THE TEACHER:
I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of
Central Oklahoma. I have my Elementary, Middle level Social Studies, and
Middle level English Oklahoma Certifications. I taught 8th grade Composition
here at DCMS in '08, and enjoyed it very much. My true passion, I found,
lies in teaching our wonderful 6th graders! I'm so excited to be with the
amazing 6th grade team for the second year in a row. I'm newly married!
Brad and I live happily in Yukon in our cozy home with our large cat Jack
Attack. I had a busy summer renovating our house and I'm ready to meet my
new students and get started!
MISSION:
I know every student has their own gifts and talents. I look forward to
giving each student many opportunities to be successful. My lessons will be
based on the Priority Academic Student Skills required by the State of
Oklahoma. My goals for students this year include: actively participating in
learning, frequently working in groups, creating a community feeling in the
classroom, and to get excited about learning!
