Educational Youth Tours of Oklahoma
Each summer I assist Mr. Ty Bell, a principal in the Norman School District,
on summer trips. We take middle school students to Carlsbad, NM;
Mesa Verde, CO; and San Antonio/Corpus Christi, TX. These are educational
trips with a whole lot of fun involved. Students will be going 750 feet
below the earth's surface to view beautiful rock formations, watching a bat
flight one evening, viewing awesome cliff dwellings, experiencing the great
Rocky Mountains and a hot water pool, sleeping aboard the USS Lexington and
sleeping in front of a live shark exhibit. EYTO stresses the importance of
learning first hand by seeing or experiencing part of history or nature.
Summer 2005 Trips: A great success. Everyone had a blast.
Summer 2006 Trips: The trips for summer '06 have been cancelled because of
lack of enrollment.
