About The Teacher
I have taught over 25 years in Oklahoma public schools. I attended the University of Oklahoma where I received my elementary education degree and have taught in the following districts: Little Axe, Broken Arrow, Jenks, Putnam City, and Deer Creek. I am married to Larry and have two sons, Zach and Cale. Zach is a junior at Oklahoma Christian and plays baseball for the Eagles. Cale is a senior at DCHS and plays football and baseball. He will be playing baseball for the Sooners next fall. We have two dogs, "Beefcake", a yellow lab, and "Smokey" a black toy poodle. (the boss) Attending my sons' ballgames is a big highlight, along with attending church at Henderson Hills, cheering for my Sooners and the Pride of Oklahoma,(I was in the OU band and can still play "Boomer Sooner" after all these years!) gardening, reading, exercising, and being a Mary Kay consultant. I am a member of Professional Oklahoma Educators, love teaching children, and enjoy giving them the tools to learn and become lifelong learners!
Mission Label:
Mission
All children can be successful and all children can learn. I want my students to come to school excited about learning and looking forward to being there every day. We also appreciate each others' differences and encourage each other to be the best we can be. Our class rule is: We will treat others as we want to be treated. My goal is for each child to become a lifelong learner.
