BOX TOPS
When your child brings Box Tops, please include your child's name, grade and teacher's name on
the outside of the bag or sack
READING CALENDAR
Please keep your child's reading calendar in the protective slip in his/her binder. Please
record the title of the book and then place a check mark to show how the book was read. At the
bottom of the log, record how many minutes your child spent reading beside the date.
GUIDED READING BOOKS
When your child brings home a guided reading book it will be in a special book bag. Your child
will have had an opportunity to read the book or some of the book that day. Please have your
child re-read the book or finish reading the book. The time your child spends reading this book
may count towards the 20 minutes of reading each night. Please sign the guided reading log, and
return the book and sheet in the book bag the next day.
