I want to welcome everyone to our wonderful Media Center! It is truly
the "center" of Rose Union Elementary. Take a break and
take a look at what we've got for Y-O-U! Come in and browse our shelves.
We have books available for all students from Pre-K through fifth grade.
You're always welcome in the library!
Our objective for the Rose Union library is that it be a welcoming,
comfortable and safe environment for our students to enjoy. In library
class we learn how to find the different types of materials by
using "Destiny's" catalog program on the look-up computers. If you are
interested in using this catalog search program at home, please ask. Since
it is a web-based program, we'll be glad to show you how to log on! Students
will learn the different types of books available from fiction to
nonfiction, biography, or reference. We encourage the students to select
books of interest on their reading level and read, read, read! They
may also do research on the library computers.
