We have skipped to Topic 17 and 18.  We are doing this to really provide the students
with what they need to know.

Topic  17

Equations and Graphs

   During Topic 17, your child is using ordered pairs to name and plot points on a coordinate
grid.

Topic 18
Bars and Graphs

   During Topic 18, your child is learning how to collect and analyze data and make and interpret
bar and line graphs.  Help your child recognize how often graphs are used in everyday life by
looking for bar graphs and line graphs in newspapers and books.  He or she will learn how the mean,
mode, or median of a data set can be used to describe what is typical about the set.

Your child should continue to practice basic facts in multiplication and division.
