I have a Bachelors Degree in Art Education, grades K-12 from Southwestern
Oklahoma State University. I also recived my Masters Degree at SWOSU.
My first teaching experience was at Weatherford High School in Weatherford,
OK. where I taught grades 7-12 until the program expanded enough that we
needed two teachers and I then taught grades 9-12. Our family moved out of
state for a few years and when we returned I taught art at Blanchard High
School. Again grades 7-12 until I needed help and another teacher took over
the Jr. High and I again taught grades 9-12. The year that I left I built up
the program to the point that they were hiring a second teacher to help out
with the high school. In 1996 they added Block Schedule here at Duncan and
the school needed a second art teacher. My husband was already teaching here
so I applied for the new art position. I have been here since that date.
