How many books may students check out?

Students in Kindergarten, First, and Second grade may checkout 1 
book for 1 
week.  Students in Third, Fourth, and Fifth grade may checkout 2 
books for 1 
week.  Students may recheck a book by bringing it to the 
library.  There are 
no fines for overdue books, but if books are lost or damaged 
please pay for 
them so they can be replaced.

How do students know when their books are due?

Students books are due on the day of their class library visit.

When do students visit the library?

Students will visit the library 2 times each week with their 
class.  They 
have a 30 minute skills lesson with Mrs. Richie. They have 
checkout and quiet
reading for 30 minutes with Mrs. Garrett at Mark Twain and Mrs. 
Lederer at 
Plato.

Can parents check out books?

Yes! We encourage parents to visit the Mark Twain/Plato Library 
Media Center 
and check out books for their students.
