Mrs. Richie received her Bachelor of Arts in History in l971 from Oklahoma
College of Liberal Arts (OCLA) in Chickasha. She taught social studies and
civics at Chickasha Jr. High for ll years. She received her Master of
Education in Instructional Media from University of Central Oklahoma (UCO)in
Edmond in l982. She has been the District Media Coordinator for Duncan
Public Schools for 26 years and the elementary media specialist for Will
Rogers PreK for two years.
Mrs Richie is at Will Rogers PreK library on Monday.She is at Irving
PreK Library on Friday to teach classes on library skills.
Our mission of the Will Rogers/Irving PreK Library Media Program is to
assist students in the development of skills necessary for independent life-
long learning. Emphasis is placed on the appreciation of literature, the
enjoyment of recreational reading, as well as reading for information. It
is our mission to meet students' and teachers' educational needs today, as
well as to anticipate tomorrow's needs. Mark Twain's Library Media Center
instructs students to use resources through print and electronic information
sources to successfully apply skills that will enable them to locate,
select, evaluate, interpret, and communicate information
