I am so excited about teaching 3rd grade at Grove Valley Elementary this year. I spent my first 9 years of teaching in 3rd grade and the past 10 years teaching 2nd grade. I look forward to working with 3rd graders again. It is such a fun age.
My family and I moved to Edmond from Fort Gibson this summer. My husband, Lance is the new CFO for Deer Creek Schools. We have 3 children. Coleman is a freshman, Grace is in 5th grade, and Cooper is in Kindergarten. They each love school along with participating in several sports. We have enjoyed meeting people in the church services we've attended. We look forward to meeting many more during the school year.
I graduated with an elementary degree from Northeastern State University. I have been trained in Great Expectations, Response to Intervention, Schools Attuned, OERB, Developmental Reading Assessments, and all phases of Literacy First. I believe teaching in the Deer Creek school system will enable me to continue to grow as a professional educator. I look forward to a great year here.
