All About Mrs. Carter

    My name is Casey Carter and I am so excited to teach 5th Grade at Grove Valley this year! I graduated from UCO with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education! While in college, I worked as a youth leader at Church of the Servant! After graduation I spent a semester substituting, and then got my first teaching job teaching 5th grade in Edmond. 

    This past June I got married to my wonderful husband, Adam, who works as a youth pastor at Newchurch!  I have always had a passion for children and youth, and I can't think of a better way to reach them than by working with them in the classroom. I have had many influential teachers in my life that have inspired me to become a teacher and touch the lives of others. I hope to inspire my wonderful students in the same way! Here are a few of my favorite things to help you get to know me better....

   My favorite restaurants are Chilis and Charleston's! My favorite things to do are see movies, relax while looking at books at Barnes and Noble, sit at Starbucks with good friends, walk at Lake Hefner, Clean and organize (weird, I know!), shop, and spend time with my family!  
 
   I hope everyone has had a WONDERFUL summer and I can't wait to meet you!!!
