My name is Wendy Frailey, and I am delighted to be the media specialist at
Grove Valley Elementary! I know that we are going to have a great year
together discovering fantastic books and challenging each other to find and
use information.
After graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in
telecommunication, I went to work at KXII-TV in Sherman, Texas as a news
producer. I learned that I enjoyed helping others conduct research and turn
their findings into a story. Moving into the classroom was a natural
transition that allowed me to fulfill my calling. I taught middle school
English, literature, journalism, and yearbook for five years in Texas. I
also earned a masters of education in library media from East
Central University.
My husband Clark and I have been blessed with two sons, Stephen, who is six
and a first grader at Grove Valley, and Sam, who is four. Clark is pastor
of Coffee Creek Baptist Church in Edmond. We enjoy reading, playing outside,
and spending time with family and friends.
