     We are studying Native Amercans this week and learning about their culture.  This will begin a series of studies of other cultures.  We will explore other countries and continents too.  During these studies will compare and contrast our country to theirs and explore how connumities work.  We will be discussing tolerance for those who are think and believe differently than we do in our class and around the world.  I am planning to video tape many of these lessons as I am preparing entries for my National Board Certification.

     You will be recieving a permission slip tomorrow with more details on what the video taping means for your child.  Please sign and return as soon as possible.

     Progress reports come home this week!  If your child's grade is low it could be due to zeros.  many students are not taking unfinished work home, returning it and/or turning it in.  You can get a passoword and information on how to view grades online from the front office.

**Don't forget to READ 20 minutes each day and practice math facts for 10 minutes!! It is such a powerful thing to reinforce our growing skills.**
