About The Teacher

Teaching has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and I feel
that I am finally fulfilling my dream!! I graduated from Southwestern
Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Special Education. While in
college I had the pleasure of completing my student teaching at Mustang
North under the supervision of Ms. Laxton. It was at Mustang North that I
spent my first 7 years of teaching. I have now crossed the street
(a.k.a "Yellow Brick Road") and joined the Creek team! I am looking forward
to a fantastic year!!!
I strive to make learning fun and rewarding to my students. I want their
school memories to be filled with knowledge and success!! I look forward to
coming to school each day and I feel truly blessed to call myself a teacher!
I also feel blessed to call myself a wife and mother. I have been
married to my husband Jason for 14 years. He also shares my passion
for teaching. He is a physical education teacher in Putnam City. He has
been teaching for 14 years. He just recently became National Board
Certified. I am so proud of him!!
Not only do we stay busy with school but also with our two children,
Carlie and Carter. Carlie is in the 7th grade at Mustang North. She
is an excellent student and loves to act/perform, sing, and read!! She is
currently a member of the Creative Spirit Acting Academy. She enjoys
attending school at North and is looking forward to an amazing year!! Our
son Carter is in 1st grade at Mustang Creek. He is a terrific athlete!! He
plays basketball in the fall/winter and T-ball all year long! He just
recently competed in the T-ball World Series and the team took home 2nd
place!! He is always full of energy and keeps us on our toes all the time.
    I can't imagine a having a better life!!!!
