I love teaching and this will be my 24th year in the classroom. I attended
Abilene Christian University and I began my teaching career in my hometown of
Borger, Texas in 1983. I taught kindergarten there for four years and
transitional first for three years before moving to Oklahoma. I taught first
grade in Mustang for four years and Transitional First grade for 11
years. I began teaching kindergarten again last year. I love working with
young children and I am excited about the new "full day" program.
I have been married for 28 years. My husband, Kline retired last spring and
we enjoy traveling and working on home projects together. We have two
children, Lindsey and Clint. My favorite thing
to do is spend time with my family. We enjoy skiing, fishing, watching OU
sports and playing board games. In my spare time I love to shop, scrapbook,
play around on the computer, read and work on various arts and crafts
projects.
Teaching is my calling. I love being in the classroom, interacting with
children, and being the facilitator in the learning process. The rewards are
many and I truly feel blessed to be in the teaching profession.
My mission is for each child to reach their highest potential and be prepared
for a successful year in first grade.
