I love teaching and this will be my 22nd year in the classroom. I began my
teaching career in my hometown of Borger, Texas in 1983. I taught
kindergarten there for four years and transitional first for three years
before moving to Oklahoma. I taught first grade in Mustang for four years
before moving into my present position as Transitional First grade teacher.
I have taught Transitional First grade for a total of 14 years.
I am married and my husband, Kline, works for Advanced Fire Protection.
We have two children. My daughter, Lindsey, is currently attending graduate
school at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. My son, Clint, is
planning on attending OCCC and he works at Pizza Hut. My favorite thing to
do is spend time with my family. We enjoy skiing, fishing, watching OU
sports and playing board games. Lindsey and I enjoy shopping and
scrapbooking. In my spare time I love to scrapbook, play around on the
computer, read and work on various arts and crafts projects.
Teaching is my calling. I love being in the classroom, interacting with
children, and being the facilitator in the learning process. The rewards are
many and I truly feel blessed to be in the teaching profession.
My mission is for each child to reach their highest potential and be
prepared for a successful year in first grade.
