ELL Homework--for those in ELL class with Mrs. Overmon

ELL homework is normally telling, asking, or showing the parent
something. It is done to reinforce what was worked on in ELL class and to
help the student remember; so please spend the time to do this with your
child.
Homework usually does not require over 5 minutes' time and often could
be done while the parent is preparing a meal or driving.
Your child won't have ELL homework on some class days. Go through the
backpack each evening to check for ELL papers as well as other papers from
school. Each day that he/she has ELL class, ask him/her if there is ELL
homework.
The following ELL class time, I will ask each student if the ELL
homework has been done. If not, I allow one more class period to do it. If
not done then, I will call the parent to report that the homework has not
been done.

Homeroom homework--Work assigned by classroom teacher (not Mrs. Overmon)

Regular classroom homework is normally written. It is usually graded,
and the grade is usually recorded and averaged into the nine weeks grade
report. Check on your child's homework every day.
