November 2009
This month in math, we will be working on measurement and money. We will
also be learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin, good nutrition habits,
and what took place at the first Thanksgiving.
Midterm grades will be sent home November 20.
Please continue to read with your child each night. Reading tip: If your
child is working on fluency, have them read the same book for more than one
night(at least 3 would be best). If your child is working on comprehension,
after each read ask them to tell you about the characters, setting, plot and
solution to a fiction story, or tell you 5 important facts about a nonfiction
selection.
Reading logs for November will be sent home in their Thursday folder 11-5-09
and will be due December 1.
