B.E.A.R  BOOKS

In our classroom we will use notebooks as a system of organization. We call them our "B.E.A.R Books".  B.E.A.R is an acronym for Becoming Educated and Responsible.  The book is a 3-ring binder I will put together that provides everything that your child and you need to keep up with what is going on at school.

No more wrinkled papers in the bottom of the backpacks.  No more lost notes, newsletters or calendars.  No more searching the house to find paper to write me a note.  Everything will be in one notebook!   Please purchase a 3-ring binder by Friday, August 22, so I may assemble a B.E.A.R Book for your child.  The children will bring home their B.E.A.R Books everyday and should bring them back to school the following morning.

Why are B.E.A.R Books important?
These notebooks will help the students establish good organizational skills, skills that they can carry on throughout their time in school.

What if something happens to the B.E.A.R Book?

Since the book is vital to learning responsibility, if lost or damaged, it will need to be replaced.  You may bring a new binder to class and it will be restocked with the necessary papers.

Why can’t there be any drawings inside or outside of the notebook?

The reason for our B.E.A.R. Books is to help us stay organized.  It should be used only for that purpose.  Keeping our books neat and clean shows respect for our belongings and encourages organization.

What are the two most important things to remember about B.E.A.R Books?

  1. Bring them to class everyday!
  2. Parents need to review the contents of the B.E.A.R Book every night.
