About The Teacher
I have been in Catholic education for a long time now. I am the oldest of seven children and grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas. As a child I attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Colgan, St. Mary’s High School. I am a graduate of Pittsburg State University. I joined the faculty at St. John School in 1991. I was blessed last year to receive the St. Francis of Assisi award as Tulsa Diocese’s Teacher of the Year. I work with a talented group of teachers and I am grateful for the gifts that our Lord has given to me. One interesting fact about my time at St. John is the fact that I met my husband in Father Lynch Hall during a Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast. My two children are also St. John students. I thoroughly enjoy working with young people. They have so much energy and enthusiasm to share. Being a mother I know how precious your children are to you.
