I have been teaching for 16 years. This is my fifth year at Vinita Public
Schools. I am a graduate of Claremore High School and Northeastern State
University at Tahlequah. Teaching comes naturally for me, both my parents
were educators. I am married to my husband Bobby McDaniel and we have three
wonderful sons, Jeremy, Will, and Colton. We live on a large cattle ranch
northwest of Vinita. In November of 2005 I completed the National Board for
Professional Teaching. I am honored to hold my National Board Teaching
Certificate. In addition to being certified Nationally, I hold an Oklahoma
teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, with
an endorsement in Language Arts, and Special Education.
My mission for our 2nd graders is for each child to reach his or her full
potential at this point in their young life. I hope to inspire each child
to try every day, giving their best effort in an attempt to become a better
reader, writer, mathematician, scientist, and friend. I hope to instill in
them a love for learning and a belief in their self. I hope they will leave
my class knowing they they can achieve their dreams by setting goals and
working hard!
