If you want to get a headstart on some of your required reading in English during minimester, you can read the following:

In the Junior Great Books series 9:

"A Bird in the House" by Margaret Laurence, page 88 ff.

"The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson, page 111 ff.

Our novel for 3rd quarter is: Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury.

Keep in mind that during 3rd quarter we will also be working on our research papers.

Use the extra time you have during mini-mester to get ahead in English.

SUGGESTION:  If your old notebook(binder)for English is falling apart or is getting too small, buy a new and larger one for the second semester.  And, as long as you are getting organized in advance(and planning to be a Sharpie 2nd semester), how about getting some new dividers as well?  Remember, a well-organized and neatly kept notebook is one of the major signs of a good student.
