Final Assignment- Question Period
Question Period will be held in class on Friday the 13th!

The Canadian House of Commons
Hello to the new House of Commons! You are now the Canadian government. You have the power to make positive change!! Please refer to the yellow sheets titled "Question Period" for the rubric and detailed information. It's time to research your ministry (or shadow ministry) and prepare information about your issue. Remember the political party websites can be helpful- their links are found below.
If you are a member of the Government- you are preparing notes on your specific issue to answer questions that will come from the Opposition members. Remember, you must be well informed about the issue, its history and prepared to defend your policies and possible repercussions. Mr. Prime Minister must provide a copy of his throne speech to the Leader of the Loyal Opposition by Wednesday June 11- TOMORROW.
If you are a member of the Opposition- Remember you must provide me with 2 copies of your question (1 for me, 1 for the Opposition) by Wednesday June 11- TOMORROW. Your question will have 2 parts, as outlined in the yellow sheets. You are only required to give part ONE to the opposition- prepare notes for the "supplementary" only for yourself.

Click "new search", then type in the city you want and you will get a LONG list of charities. Make sure it is a small, "grassroots" charity... only grassroots charities qualify for the YPI grant.
