| Welcome to GRADE ELEVEN DRAMA! (ADA 3MR)
Dear students, parents and guardians,
I am pleased to announce that the school year has begun and that the drama
department is gearing up for a successful and challenging year. It will be
the focus of the grade eleven year to deepen the understanding of
performance technique, as well as to introduce and experience other careers
that are found in the theatre. All students will have an opportunity to
explore the various roles in production, direction, technical and
performance areas. We will be creating original student written work, as
well as examining works from the great dramatists of the past four hundred
years. Our class is structured, with flexibility for student input based
upon the interests of the class. I am very excited to begin our first unit-
Motivated Movement-and I hope that everyone will find it as engaging as it
is enlightening.
