Dear Parents:
Welcome to a new and exciting school year! This past weeks has been used to organize ourselves and learn classroom procedures, work habits, and new skills, etc. Now that students are a little more settled and organized, it is time to provide you with some information about our class.
AGENDA -The agenda is one of the most important items that will serve as a communication tool between the classroom and parents. It is to be signed by parents every time it is sent home and is meant to keep you informed in regards to your child’s homework assignments or any other communication from the classroom/school.
HOMEWORK -Effective this week homework has been assigned to your child. We will have a weekly French spelling test every Friday. Your child has been provided with a French spelling text for the year. The French spelling test is not just a spelling test but will also be used to learn about grammar and syllables, etc. Please have them practice the words during the week. Our first dictée will begin on Friday, September 14and thereafter every Friday.
From time to time, I will be sending some work that has not been completed in class so that your child has an opportunity to stay on track. For your information, a homework website is set and running. You can get to the site at the following address:

SCHOLASIC ORDER- Please ensure that you make the cheque payable to Scholastic every time you order. I will not be accepting any cash. The orders will be collected on Mondays after the flyers have been sent home on Thursday.
LIBRARY- The class goes to the Library on Day 1.
