October 2012, and so much to be Thankful for! Midterms are just that: a mid point opportunity to focus on what the course work is moving towards, to find out from teachers and professors what their expectations are, to test oneself on the material, and to recognize that goals are set for a reason- to work towards.

Spring will soon be here- and March break and midterms- and for my adult students who may be in the workforce and not affected by formal breaks like Family Day or March Break- Treat Yourself. Plan a holiday day in the city- if there are local attractions that you haven't yet visited check out http://www.toronto.com/attractions and pick one or two and discover what makes Toronto an interesting space. - I have a new favorite- the Evergreen Brickworks- Google them and Enjoy-
As Always,

To those of you in High School, some of whom may be voting age by the next election this is an opportunity to become familiar with local politics as represented by the local media; the coverage will be extensive over the next year as others move into position to take on the Mayoral position. What a great opportunity to do a project for a civics class, history class, creative writing class, the school newspaper, you decide, but do become aware of issues so that your vote will be an informed one.
