WELCOME TO LEGACY!
Legacy Public School is now entering its fourth year. More than 550 children
have enrolled in our school, many of them new to York Region. Over the summer
200 students left us to become the core group of students for the new David
Suzuki Public School. We wish them all the best.
We continue to make every effort to make all of our new families feel
welcome, as soon as possible. You will notice that our students are very
quick to offer a greeting whenever you see them around the school. If you
are visiting the school please make sure to make yourself known to the
staff. We have a number of things in place, both at the board, school and
community level to try and help make the adjustment period as smooth as
possible for everyone.
Our school is known for its success not only in the classroom (Our EQAO
scores continue to improve and are consistently above both board and
provincial averages), but in all aspects of school life. Our Lightning
sports teams have won a number of Area and Regional Championships during our
first three years, and our extra curricular programs are second to none.
