Ms. Koowar's Website for Grade 5 / 6

Notes: We use a Day 1-5 Cycle instead of following the timetable based on the days of the week. 1) Language Arts includes Reading / Writing / Oral / Media 2) For Science and Social Studies (S. / S. S.) the class is divided by grade level. While one grade is doing science or social studies, the other students are in our room working on grade specific lessons in math. 3) French is taugh by Ms. Pandya and science & social studies is taught by Ms. Slade 4) Music is taught by Ms. Spivack. 5) The Arts involve lessons in Drama / Dance / Visual Arts done at different times depending on the needs of the students or the class time needed to finish a project in one of these areas. 6) Health is taugh by Ms. Shulman.
