My name is Mrs. Kate Dobson. I have worked as a Library Technician for the
Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board since September 2004. I work full-
time between two schools, St. Joseph's School, Clinton and Jeanne Sauvé
School, Stratford. The St. Joseph's School Library is staffed on Thursday,
Friday and every other Monday.
I am a graduate of the Library and Information Technician Program from
Mohawk College, Hamilton. I am also completing my Bachelor of Professional
Arts Communication Studies Major through Athabasca University.
I am so excited to be working with the staff and students at St. Joseph's
School, Clinton for another year. It is my hope that the library and
computer lab will be full of activity and a place where students and staff
want to continue their educational journey.

St. Joseph's school library is the hub of information gathering through
various types of media for both students and staff within the school. To
keep pace with the ever changing needs of the school community the
libraries' goals are to:
- Provide a safe, respectful, welcoming and Christ-centered environment in
which to learn;
- Develop the library collection continuing to support curriculum, as well
as, maintain and update resources;
- Encourage students to explore literature, learn proper research skills and
become competent communicators of technology.
I look forward to meeting these challenges over the 2008 - 2009 school year
as a member of the St. Joseph School family.
