I have taught at St. Patrick's for 16 years now (I was one of the "original"
teachers to open up St. Pat's as a new school). Before moving to St. Pat's, I
taught for 5 years at St. Isaac Jogues in Pickering where I started my
teaching career. While at St. Isaac's, I taught grade 5 for my first two
years, then taught grade 7 and 8 for the next three years. I have taught
grade 7 for my entire time at St. Pat's. I now teach grade 8 homeroom, and
Geography and Drama on rotary. I help to coach the Cross-Country team, Flag
Football Team and Track & Field team at St. Pat's. I enjoy listening to music
and playing the guitar, and I enjoy most sports, but especially golf and
hockey. And even though I was born in Toronto, I am an avid Montreal
Canadiens fan !
- To promote a positive self image for each student (that everyone is unique
and important).
- To foster a learning environment which focuses on cooperation and respect
for each other.
- To encourage each student to be responsible for his/her own successes.
- To teach my grade 8 students to learn how to study so they can be
prepared for big educational opportunities in their educational efforts.
- To teach my students to be ready and prepared for whatever situation they
may encounter.
