My name is Patrick Costello and I've been a teacher with the Durham Catholic
District School Board for 14 years. I was born in Windsor, Ontario where I
was involved in both high school and elementary education. I am married and
have three beautiful girls. My wife, Colleen also is a teacher at St. Pat's.
Being raised very close to the city of Detroit, I've always been a Detroit
Red Wings fan, which has not gone unnoticed since my move to the Durham
Region. In my spare time (which with 3 young girls, there hasn't been much
of late), I enjoy playing a variety of sports - basketball, volleyball,
baseball as well as reading. I truly enjoy my vocation and look forward to
helping my students through the grade six curriculum.
It is my hope that every student will put forth their best effort in all
areas of the grade six curriculum. I will do my best to facilitate the
process of learning by instructing and guiding them on a daily basis.
I believe it is also just as important to help each student grow socially,
emotionally and spiritually. This will enable a student to develop self
confidence and a respect for others.
In other words - to graduate from grade six as a "good kid."
