And the Award for....CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING "KINDERCRITTERS", KOKO (MORNING CLASS-ROOM #107) AND FIONN (AFTERNOON CLASS-ROOM #107)..... FOR BEING SELECTED AS MISS CROCKERS' STAR STUDENTS FOR THE WEEK OF: NOVEMBER 9TH TO NOVEMBER 13TH, 2009 Koko is being recognized for: *demonstrating remarkable maturity and confidence as a Senior Kindergartener *always being a tremendous help to Miss Crocker and Miss Crocker at school *being an outstading role model for our other Senior Kindergarteners as well as our all of our Junior Kindergarteners AND Swansea School's other students *always being an extremely enthusiastic, attentive, and inquisitive learner *independently and cleverly "reading around the room" when faced with the challenge of unknown words *fearlessly and eagerly taking many risks when reading and writing *always drawing and colouring pictures with careful thought, remarkable detail, and much attention to neatness *following our many classroom and school expectations without any reminders from Miss Crocker and Miss Crocker *always eagerly and attentively listening to stories read aloud to her *continuing to confidently contribute her delightful and unique insights to our Big Group class discussions and conversations without any prompting from Miss Crocker and Miss Crocker *consistently playing safely and cooperatively with her classmates and without any reminders from Miss Crocker and Miss Crocker *always being extremely respectful and kind to her classmates and teachers *being a responsible and conscientious learner *always actively and eagerly participating in all classroom activities; including all of our carpet and calendar songs and discussions AND demonstrating numerous "lightbulb learning" moments (daily.....too many to keep count of!) *continuing to learn to consistently print her first name and other simple words independently, correctly, and neatly the "school way" *demonstrating tremendous responsibility and care of her belongings *learning to read simple texts, simple sentences, and high frequency sight words ("Snappy Words") with confidence, accuracy, and fluency Ava L. is being recognized for: *demonstrating tremendous growth in her confidence and courage as a Junior Kindergartener *being an enthusiastic, curious, and inquisitive learner *beginning to actively and eagerly participate in all classroom activities; including all of our carpet and calendar songs and discussions *consistently following all of the classroom expectations and routines with fewer reminders from Miss Crocker and Miss Crocker *being a helpful, kind, and caring friend to all of her classmates *eagerly helping Miss Crocker and Miss Crocker whenever the need arises *always playing cooperatively with her classmates *continuing to learn to complete her work with care and attention to detail *learning to take more risks as a learner *continuing to learn to independently print her first name and other simple words correctly and neatly the "school way" *beginning to demonstrate more careful thought when drawing and colouring simple pictures *dressing and undressing herself with less assistance from Miss Crocker and Miss Crocker ONCE AGAIN, CONGRATULATIONS KOKO AND AVA L.! WE ARE EXTREMELY PROUD OF YOU!
