FOR BEING SELECTED AS MISS CROCKERS' STAR STUDENTS FOR THE WEEK OF: SEPTEMBER TO SEPTEMBER , 2008

They are recognized for:

*being inquisitive learners

*taking risks when writing and drawing

*writing words independently and courageously without fear, nervousness, nor anxiety

*beginning to "read around the room" when faced with the challenge of unknown words

*following all of our classroom and school expectations with either no reminders or just a few reminders from Miss Crocker and Miss Crocker

*eagerly and attentively listening to stories read aloud to them

*always contributing their delightful and unique insights to our Big Group class discussions and conversations

*printing correctly letters and words the "school way" with growing consistency, mastery, and skill

*carefully and thoughtfully drawing and colouring colour-rich and vivid illustrations

*carefully completing all of their work and art crafts/projects

*always doing their best

*always showing good sportsmanship

*always playing safely and cooperatively on the playground

*taking superb and independent care of their belongings

*always being a kind, helpful, respectful, supportive, and caring friends to EVERYONE

*being exemplary role models for everyone; adults and children alike
