The Woodlands Enhanced Learning Department addresses all of the following
intellectual instructional needs in an informal manner at each grade level.
However, specific program goals have been selected on the basis of a common
pattern of maturation through high school. For specifics, please download the

Grade Nine - Engaging in Active Learning:
to engage in productive interaction with peers of similar ability and
consistent application of appropriate work habits
Grade 10 - Personal Reflection and Development:
to provide the opportunity to deal with personal giftedness and to recognize
and develop creativity
Grade 11 - Specialization:
to develop personal talents and to recognize and develop leadership potential
Grade 12 - Independence, Ownership, and Accountability:
to participate in the planning of a personal program and to develop and
refine critical thinking skills.
