About Mr. Millar

Mr. Millar graduated from teachers college in May of 2000 and began teaching
at Thornhill Public School in September of the same year. He has taught
grades four through eight and has taught science every year he has been at
the school.

In his second year at Thornhill P.S. he began the Aquademics Program (which
is now lovingly called Fish Club) where students of Thornhill look hundreds
of fish from around the world in over 700 gallons of water. The program is
supported through donations from the community and corporate sponsorship
from R.C.Hagen and local businesses. The support from the Thornhill
community has been amazing.

Mr. Millar is also a reservist with the Canadian Armed Forces. He is
currently an Army Lieutenant serving with the St. Andrew's College Highland
Cadet Corps where he fulfills the duties of a training officer. During the
summer he works at the Sea Cadet Summer Training Centre
H.M.C.S. Ontario on the Royal Military College campus in Kingston.

He married his wife Margaret in 2002 and he has two dogs named "Poppy"
and "Tails".
