Thunder Bay MDM4U Workshop

Students showed us their MDM4U work

Spencer M. from St. Patrick High
School in Thunder Bay showed his
multi-media MDM4U project based
on the lesson "Correlating
education and income : Is it
worth completing university?".
This lesson is available in the
MDM4U Lessons folder as Lesson #3.

Neighbourhood Maps from E-STAT

E-STAT provides 1700 variables of
census tract data which is used
in student analysis projects. E-
STAT can also generate maps of
census data for any area in
Canada. Census tracts for the
metropolitan area of Windsor are
shown in this example.

Workshop Attendees

Some of the 15 teachers from
Thunder Bay, Marathon, Atikokan
and Dryden who attended the 2-day
Statistics Canada workshop for
mathematics of data management
teachers.
