About The Teacher Label:
About The Teacher
I enjoy teaching in the library and computer lab, rock climbing, mountaineering, skiing (cross-country and tele), backpacking, biking, astronomy, nature studies and goofing off. I have taught single grades 4,5 and 6, multi age classrooms 3/4, 4/6 and 4/5, K-6 science, K-6 TAG and K-6 Media Specialist, and finally, was a vice principal and interim principal. I took a summer trip to Vancouver Island, BC where my wife and I explored "Super Natural British Columbia". I learned about this area when I was 8 or 9 years old reading National Geographic at my grandmother's house. Had I never read this magazine, would I have been aware of this place of natural beauty? You just don't know. I have a wife and two children: JoAnn, Justin and Brett. We have 5 grand children: Z, Keenan, Medea, Morgan and Faolan. We have two beautiful Siberian Huskies, Suka, our one year old grey and white male husky and Teneya,a three year old red and white female husky. My favorite subjects: math and science. I also devour reading material! I live in the mountains above Ashland in an area called the Green Springs in a log home that I built.
